I’ll be in Richmond, VA next week. I’ve been in both Corpus Christi, TX and Los Angeles, CA within the past couple weeks.
Things that I learned:
1. You just can’t order a plain burger at Whataburger.
2. There aren’t usually snakes in tall grass in Texas.
3. You can get barbecued meat (by the pound) and gas from Rudy’s BBQ.
4. Pinkberry frozen yogurt tastes like yogurt, frozen. I highly recommend the song on the website.
5. Ralph Lauren’s ties cost $160 on Rodeo Drive, but they have drawers and drawers of them.
I also just watched the new James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace and was rather disappointed. I was really a fan of Daniel Craig after Casino Royale and was originally excited for this movie. Alas, it was more like Mission Impossible 3, Die Hard 3, or X-Men 3. There was too much action, moving much to quickly, to the point where it was hard to render exactly what was happening. Additionally, the plot was garbage. A worldwide organization known as “Quantum” of high ranking officials that has spies everywhere wants to control …water in Bolivia? You would think their scope might be a bit larger. It was never made clear who connected with what and why. I was impressed that 007 didn’t sleep with this Bond girl.
